CKC Spank St Mary De Worker 2-0 Amid Age Cheat Menace In North Zone
Organisers of Anambra Sports Solution Initiative (ANSSI) for primary and secondary schools have insisted that age cheat will not be condoned among schools taking part in the festival.
This was demonstrated by sanctioning of schools which presented over age students at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium centre of the zonal elimination games of the soccer event.
The schools sports competitions objective in Anambra state must be achieved with every effort to ensure that the participating schools did not cheat using overage players for success.
A number of schools which tried to feature overaged students were made to play with fewer players or disqualified outrightly
Meanwhile, CKC Onitsha U-14 boys were overjoyed after thrashing St Mary De Walker Missionary School, Ogbaru 2-0 to bring back the memory of the school’s 77 world soccer prowel.
They will battle Washington Memorial Secondary School, Onitsha to determine which school will represent the zone in the age category in the state finals later.
Prince Memorial High School, Onitsha U-18 boys defeated Community Secondary School, Iyiowa 5-1.
The winner struggled from behind to level 1-1 against the opponent at full time, won via penalties, but will play against CKC, Onitsha which was drawn byr to determine the school to represent the zone in the state finals.
In U-12 boys, Central School, Odoakpu Onitsha defeated Ogboli Primary School, Onitsha 2-1. The school will play Community Primary School, Okpoko to determine the North Zone’s representative in the state finals.
In U-28 girls, SS Peter and Paul Model Secondary School, Ogbaru defeated Esteem Academy, Onitsha 2-0 in the zonal finals and have qualified to participate in the state finals.
