RULAAC, Forum mourn CSP Haruna ex Anambra PPRO
The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) and the Anambra State Police Partnership Forum (PSPF) have expressed sadness over the death of CSP Muhammad Haruna, a former Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra.
Haruna’s death was announced by the Gombe State Police Command July 21 where he was serving as second in command at the State Intelligence Department before his demise
In a joint condolence message signed by Mr Okechukwu Nwanguma and Mr Chris Azor on behalf of RULAAC and PSPF respectively, the groups described Haruna as ‘a seasoned and dedicated police officer’.
RULAAC and PSPF said Haruna served the Police force so we’ll that he was one of three deserving police officers under the Anambra Command who were publicly recognized and given awards by the PSPF for outstanding professional performance.
“On July 20, 2022 at one of its meetings which was also an award event, the Anambra State Police Partnership Forum presented awards of recognition to three officers for professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
CSP Haruna Mohammed was one of the three officers who were recognised and given an award for Effective Public Relations and Community Engagement as PPRO Anambra Police Command
“We are deeply saddened by this untimely demise of this professional, dedicated, and hardworking officer whose type is in short supply in the NPF.
“We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and the Nigeria Police Force and pray that his soul will find eternal rest in peace while his family finds comfort and solace,” it said.
PSPF was inaugurated on Nov. 27, 2019 under the auspices of RULAAC, in collaboration with the Anambra Police Command as a mechanism for holding NPF personnel to account for rights violations, ensuring prevention and reduction of such violations.
