Anambra Based Medical Doctor Allegedly Kidnapped In Edo State
Anambra born medical doctor based in Awka has allegedly been kidnapped in Edo State, South South Nigeria.
The doctor name (withheld) was a former secretary of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Anambra chapter.
He was said to have been kidnapped in the Edo stretch of the Asaba-Benin expressway on Friday while returning from an NMA meeting held in Benin City.
He was said to be travelling in his own car at the time he was kidnapped on Aug. 28
Some members of the NMA in Anambra have confirmed the disappearance of the doctor.
They said the details were still sketchy and that they were still trying to reach the family and security agencies to get a better picture of the situation.
