Anambra Sports Commissioner Mobilises For Barau-Ikorodu Q/F Game In Awka
Patrick-Agha Mba, Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development in Anambra has called on football lovers in Anambra to come out en masse and enjoy the best of football in the game between Barau and Ikorodu Utd on Thursday .
Mba made the call on Wednesday while expressing gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation for approving the Awka Township Stadium for the quarter final encounter of the President’s Federation Cup on June 11.
He urged sports lovers across to come to the stadium and cheered their preferred teams to victory.
Mba thanked Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for providing the conducive environment for sports and youth development to thrive in the state while promising that more of such high powered games would be brought to the state for the delight of the people.
He said the state was determined to turn Anambra from a departure point to a preferred destination when it comes to sports.
He also appreciated the Anambra Football Association for its effort at developing the game in Anambra while pledging the readiness of the Ministry to partner with all the associations to create a functional and rewarding sports ecosystem in the state
