COVID-19 incidence in Nigeria rises to 232 confirmed cases, five deaths
The Coronavirus disease in Nigeria has claimed five lives as at midnight of April 5 with eight newly confirmed cases.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) there are a total of 232 confirmed cases in the country with Lagos and Abuja leading the pack with 120 and 47 cases.
A total of 33 cases were recovered as the patents tested negative and were discharged, this leaves the fatality and recovery rate in Nigeria at 2.2 per cent and 14.2 per cent respectively.
So far the COVID-19 cases have been reported in 13 states and Abuja.
The breakdown showed that Osun had the third highest number of cases with 20 followed by Oyo and Edo with nine confirmed cases each.
Others were Bauchi, six cases, Akwa Ibom and Kaduna five cases each, Ogun had four, while Enugu and Ekiti had two each .
Rivers, Benue and Ondo all had one case each.
