Fake Agency: My Hands Are Clean—Anambra SSG
Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, the Secretary to the Anambra State Government (SSG) says she has no role in the conception or operation of the alleged fake agency known as “Made-in-Nigeria Agency”.
Nnake in a Statement personally signed by her where she clarified her role in the report making rounds that she is one of the State Coordinators for the purported “Made-in-Nigeria Agency”.
The SSG in a Statement
entitled ‘clarification on the Made-in-Nigeria Agency and my Role as State Focal Person said her involvement was only a reaction to the purported agency which requested that Anambra appoint a focal person.
She said the letter was received by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo in January and in February 2026, she was nominated as the Focal Person for Anambra.
Nnake said she, alongside other State Focal Persons from the 36 states, had been in a WhatsApp group engaging on issues relating to the activities of the office.
She said the fake Agency wrote to the Anambra government requesting that the state play host to the Made-in-Nigeria Fair in the Southeast which was approved.
Nnake said an inaugural meeting had been held to that effect with the National Coordinator in attendance.
According to her, in January 2026, the governor received a letter from the Made-in-Nigeria Office, said to be under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, requesting the nomination of a State Focal Person.
“The State Committee has been working on preparations for the Fair, which is scheduled to take place from Dec. 2 to Dec. 5 2026.
“Beyond these official interactions and engagements, I have no knowledge of, involvement in, or connection with any other activities, claims, or developments attributed to the said office,” she said.
Nnake said it had become necessary to clarify that beyond the official interactions stated above, she knew nothing nor had any involvement in the saga.
