Idemili North LGA Endorses Soludo For Second Term
The people of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra have pledged their commitments to ensure the victory of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo on Nov. 18
Stakeholders in the area made the commitment at a rally organised by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chapter in the LGA .
Igwe Chidubem Iweka, the traditional ruler of Obosi said Soludo had transformed Anambra and combatted crime and security to a halt.
Iweka who is the chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council who led other traditional rulers from the area on the occasion said the governor had performed well to earn their support for re-election.
On his part, Mr. Stanley Nkwoka said no fewer than 60,000 traders across the markets in the council had signed up for the second term of Soludo.
Nkwoka who received the governor at the event said Idemili North had benefited the Soludo’s administration interns of projects and appointment adding that the entire people and residents of the area were for the governor.
In a reaction, Soludo said described Idemili North as a microcosm of Anambra state, saying that it was for the state what Lagos state was for Nigeria.
Soludo who was represented by Dr Onyedikachi Ibezim, his deputy, thanked the people of the area for their unanimous endorsement of Soludo for a second term.
He promised to convey the commitment of the people yo his principal.
Many groups, including ASATU Women Leaders, APGA Women Leaders, Divine Mandate Group, Artisan Women Group, and others, took turns to eulogieSoludo for his strides and prokisein office and endorsed him for a second term in office.
Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary To Anambra State Government in his vote of thanks said Idemili North LGA would rally around Soludo and ensure his victory.
Chukwulobelu urged the people of Ogidi to cast their votes for Soludo in the forthcoming Anambra state governorship election as a mark of reciprocity for naming the Anambra State Cargo airport after their son, Chinua Achebe.
