Maduka, PDP Aspirant Renovates Damaged Zone 13 Command
Dr Godwin Maduka, a gubernatorial aspirant in the Nov. 6 election in Anambra says he has undertaken to renovate Police Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo Anambra.
Maduka who is contesting for the ticket of Peoples Democratic Party said this while addressing some of his supporters at his campaign office in Awka.
It would be recalled that hoodlums attacked the Police Zonal Command on April 19 and destroyed parts of the structures, burnt vehicles within the premises and left two officers dead.
Maduka said his decision to rebuild the Zonal Command was in view of the fact that peace and security were crucial for meaningful economic prosperity.
He decried the spate of insecurity which had led to loss of life and property.
“I am rebuilding the vandalised Zone 13 headquarters because I want the police to work in a befitting environment.
“I am fixing the buildings as well as offices to return it to a better state,” he said.
The American based billionaire medical doctor said he was in the Anambra governorship race to serve humanity.
He said having developed his community and lifted multitudes out of poverty across the state through his charity foundation, it would only be better for the people of the state if he becomes elected as governor.
“I come from a humble background but God has lifted me up, I have three PhDs, I am a professor, I am the number one pain doctor in the world but I am making myself available for the service of my people,” he said.
