Obianyo Re-elected Anambra ADC Chairman, Rallies Electorate For Candidates’ Victory
Mr Patrick Obianyo, Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) says the party will achieve greater political fortune with massive victories in the 2027 general election.
Obianyo who spoke at a news conference in Awka on Tuesday appreciated members of ADC, Anambra Chapter for unanimously returning him for a second term during its State Congress which was held on May 7.
He described the congress as peaceful, transparent, and highly organised with party leaders, members, stakeholders, and observers from across the State including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in attendance.
He said the Congress followed the successful completion of Ward and Local Government Congresses in the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
Obianyo said the Congress was conducted according to the provisions of the ADC Constitution and in compliance with relevant legal and constitutional requirements guiding party congresses.
According to him, in a strong demonstration of unity, confidence, and collective resolve, the Congress unanimously adopted a consensus arrangement which returned myself and other members of the State for another tenure.
“This renewed mandate is a collective victory for every committed member of ADC in Anambra.
“We remain focused on unity, grassroots mobilisation, internal discipline, and building a stronger political platform capable of delivering purposeful leadership to Anambra people and Nigerians at large.
“Let me express deep appreciation to party members for the confidence reposed in my leadership and I reaffirm my commitment towards strengthening ADC structures across the State.
“I urge our members to remain steadfast, united, and focused on the party’s collective vision and disregard activities capable of creating unnecessary division or factional tendencies within the Party,” he said.
Obianyo expressed satisfaction with the number of political office aspirants who had indicated interest to contest in the platform or ADC at the state and national level .
He assured that the party would campaign vigorously and work towards their victory adding that ADC was united, formidable and highly energised under his leadership in Anambra.
