Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Allied Peoples Movement have endorsed Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), for Anambra South Senatorial District.
The party members comprising men, women and youths were united in their endorsement of the industrialist during his campaign visit to
Mkpologwu Community, Aguata Local Government Area. on Friday.
He reiterated his commitment to uplift the lives of the people of the area through quality representation at the National Assembly if elected.
He described himself as a child of destiny who rose from grass to grace adding that he would use his knowledge of challenges of the people to attract positive development that would impact positively on their lives.
Onunkwo urged them to remain positive and vote for the NDC across the Presidency, Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly and ensure victory for them.
“My word is my bond with you, I will work for you, I will be your voice and I will make sure that our development challenges get national attention.
“You know me too well, I have my investments here and many of our youths are directly and indirectly employed.
“When I become your Senator, it can only be better,” he said.
Meanwhile, the journey of Onunkwo to the National Assembly has received yet another boost with the donation of a Sienna bus to support his campaign activities.
The bus was donated by Ihembosi Legacy Club as part of their endorsement and support for Onunkwo’s victory at the January polls.
The growing acceptance and support base of Onunkwo has continued to change the political temperature of the senatorial district and reduce the influence of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
