Oli said as a primary precautionary measure, the commission had pumped out the water in the swimming pool to ensure that fun seekers did not have the lure to plunge into it.
According to him the swimming pool was big for amateurs and that it was dangerous for such people to swim in it.
“It is observed that all manner of persons besiege the newly constructed standard swimming pool at Ekwueme Square, it is worthy to note that the swimming pool is not for non-professional swimmers.

“However, the pool would be opened after the measure, only professional swimmers would be allowed to swim there.
“Fun seekers should avoid the swimming pool to avoid loss of lives.
“The public should know that the shallow part of the pool is seven feet while the deepest part of the pool is 25 feet deep, it is therefore very dangerous for fun seekers to swim there,” he said
