Iloenyosi Re-Elected Anambra FA chairman, George Too

 

Chikelue Iloenyosi, the Chairman of Anambra State Football Association (AnSFA) has been re-elected for another term of years.

.

Iloenyosi, unopposed, was declared winner by Darlington Okeke, the Returning Officer after polling a total of 23 votes at the AnSFA Elective Congress held in Awka on Tuesday

 

Johnson Ifejika was returned as the Vice Chairman of the association while a veteran sports journalist, Ralph-Chidozie George was also re-elected as a member .

 

 

Obi Moneke joined Iloenyosi and George to fill the seats of Anambra Central Senatorial District on the board while Emmanuel Okeke and Nnamdi Igbowkwe from Anambra North joined Ifejika to complete the slot of the Senatorial District.

 

The seats of Anambra South Senatorial District were filled by Ezoakor Donatus Mbaezue Micheal and Ijeoma Nwosu.

 

In his post-election remark, Iloenyosi appreciated members of the FA for renewing their confidence in him but giving him the chance to administer the game for another four years.

 

He said he would work with the Anambra government and sports writers to ensure that football retained its place as the king of sports in Anambra.

 

Ibrahim Aminu, the representative of the Nigeria Football Federation at the election who congratulated the winners of the new board described the process as free, fair and transparent.

 

Aminu commended Iloenyosi for the way he administered the game in Anambra noting his unopposed re-election was an indication of the acceptance he enjoyed among his colleagues.

Recall that Iloenyosi led board was elected in October 2020 but did not commence effectively until July 2022 when NFF directed him to assume office following the merit of his petition.
