Peace FC, Nnewi Utd To Clash Anambra FA Cup: Finals
Peace FC of Awka on Tuesday beat defending champions, Aspire FC of Adazi Ani 4-3 on penalties to book a place in the insl game of the 2022 Anambra FA/NEROS Pharmaceutical Cup against Nnewi United.
The match which was decided at NEROS Football Stadium had ended in a barren draw in regulation time.
Peace FC play in the Anambra Independent Football League while Aspire CF ply their trade in the Nationwide League One.
Nnewi United FC on their part thrashed All Stars FC of Ogbaru 3-0 to book a place in the final.
Speaking after the match, Obi Moneke, Chairman of Peace FC described the victory and qualification as a pleasant development.
Moneke said every match played in the competition so far was difficult as their opponents gave good accounts of themselves.
He said his team now had their eyes set on the ultimate trophy, noting that they would intensify their preparations for the final game.
On their part, the management of Aspire FC has congratulated Peace FC for their victory.
