Anambra PDP Hails Supreme Court Judgment, Calls For Unity
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Anambra Chapter has applauded the judgment of the Supreme Court in the protracted crisis within the party.

PDP in Anambra said it received the April 30 judgement with mixed feelings.
The party said while it noted the decision of the Court regarding the Ibadan Convention, they were encouraged that the era of impunity, distraction and unconstitutional conduct which held the Party to ransom in Anambra had come to an end.
The party said the actions and claims of those who arrogated authority they did not possess to themselves especially persons who were suspended since Nov. 1, 2025 remained valid and subsisting.
“This has now been effectively laid to rest Samuel Anyanwu, Umar Bature and Kamaldeen Ajibade’s attempts to continue acting in official capacities, despite their suspension and the expiration of their tenures.
“This has been overtaken by the judgment of the apex Court today.
“For us in Anambra, this development is particularly significant because it finally puts an end to the confusion and needless distractions created through attempts to establish parallel structures within the State.
“All such unlawful claims and actions carried out in the name of the Party since November 2025 now stand nullified and without effect,” he said.
The PDP said the judgment had renews the faith of members in the judiciary and affirmed the timeless principle that truth, legality, and due process will always prevail, regardless of attempts to suppress or distort them.
The party appreciated all loyal members who had been remained steadfast, resolute, and committed throughout this difficult period.
It extend hands of reconciliation to all members who may have been misled during the crisis adding that the courage, patience, and belief of loyal faithful in the Party would not been in vain.
“This is the time to return home, reunite with your brothers and sisters and join hands in rebuilding and repositioning our Party in the State.
“The Anambra Executive Committee led by Comrade Dr Chidi Chidebe remains united, focused, and fully committed to the progress of the party and the advancement of democracy,” it said.
